Neville welcomes Manchester City emergence
12:00 PM 27 September, 2009
Gary Neville has welcomed the emergence of Manchester City Football Club.

The mega-rich Eastlands outfit have spent heavily on their squad over the past twelve months, including a £115million lay-out during the summer window.

Mark Hughes has genuine ambitions of making the Blues the top team in England and Europe, and United Neville, surprisingly, has welcomed the challenge.

"They will be pushing for the top four and that is not bad for Manchester," he told the Telegraph. "They have good players and it is good for the city that we have two big clubs –

“Ss long as we are on top, though, because it would not be good playing for United when City came out on top...Definitely not."
