Manchester United star more than a destroyer
Darren Fletcher insists he is not in the Manchester United Football Club side simply to break up opposition play move the ball along.
The Scotland international has a reputation as being something of a midfield enforcer, but he has added goals to his game this season as he becomes a key player for the Reds.
“I don't want to be pigeonholed as a destroyer," Fletcher told the Sunday Telegraph. "The whole idea is to be an all-rounder, who can pass, score goals and get the team going.
"I can be a destroyer when we don't have the ball. When we don't have possession, I'm thinking, 'right, I'm going to be the first one to press and win it back'."
