Craig Gardner has no intention of leaving Aston Villa Football Club.

The 22-year-old has yet to feature for Martin O’Neill in the Premier League this season, and he has been linked with a move across the city to Birmingham City.

However, Gardner revealed earlier this month that he intended to stay at Villa Park and fight for his place, and The People claim he has reiterated this desire to his manager.

Speaking in early September, the player said: “I intend to keep fighting for a place. All I can do is keep working hard, try and impress the manager and hope I get picked.”
