Sunderland Football Club are again being linked with Alan Hutton.

The Black Cats were believed to be considering a swoop for the Scotland international prior to deadline day, with Anton Ferdinand heading to Tottenham Hotspur in exchange.

However, the deal didn’t materialise, but speculation over the past few weeks suggest something could happen when the window opens in the New Year.

The Mirror claim Steve Bruce is ready to make an official move for Hutton, and with Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker pushing through at Spurs, they may be willing to sell.
