Nicklas Bendtner is expected to be back in action for Arsenal at the weekend.

The Danish international striker has been ruled out of the UEFA Champions League clash with Olympiakos this week, following a car accident.

However, Arsene Wenger has assured fans that the player has not suffered a serious injury, and he is expected to return for the clash against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.

"Fortunately there was no real long-term damage, but he was bruised and we thought it was better he did not train,” said Wenger. "He should be back for Sunday's game.”
