Roque will decide his own Blackburn Rovers future
09:30 PM 15 October, 2008
Ryan Nelsen believes Roque Santa Cruz will make his own mind up over his Blackburn Rovers Football Club future.

The Paraguayan international has been quoted as saying he would be tempted to link up with Robinho at Manchester City, who are managed by former Rovers boss Mark Hughes.

And although these comments have since been played down, his skipper at Ewood Park believes Santa Cruz will ultimately decide what’s best for his career in his own time.

"There is a lot of players that get rumours here and there," said Nelsen. "Obviously Roque is a fantastic guy and you want the best for Roque and that is a decision he will make.

"From Blackburn's side I think what the manager can give him, what the club can give him is something these other clubs can't give him. He is really enjoying his football I think.

"He has got to do what is best for him. He is a lovely guy and I know he will make the right decision whether I am talking in his ear, the gaffer is talking in his ear or the papers are making stuff up."
