Arsene Wenger has confirmed Theo Walcott is ready to return for Arsenal Football Club.

A back injury has prevented the England international from playing this season, but he played an hour of a specially arranged friendly match on Tuesday night.

"We played against Olympiakos Under-20s and he played for 60 minutes and came through well," said Wenger. "He will be available for England selection and for us on Sunday."

The Gunners take on Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, whilst Fabio Capello’s England, who have already qualified for the World Cup, have a double header against Belarus and Ukraine.
