Cech explains shock Wigan Athletic loss
Petr Cech knows why Chelsea Football Club came unstuck at the DW Stadium.
After winning all their previous six Premier League games the Blues suffered a shock 3-1 loss at Wigan Athletic last week, in a game which saw Cech sent off.
The visit of Liverpool is next on the agenda for Carlo Ancelotti’s men, and the Czech Republic goalkeeper admits his pals are desperate to get the Latics loss out of their system.
"We know we can have one game where things don't go well, and we have to accept that at Wigan we haven't been on top of our game," he told chelseafc.com.
"We lost the ball, we didn't win individual challenges or create big chances to win the game. That's why we lost, so we needed a good reaction (against Liverpool).
“Every player looks forward to these, not really myself because I have to watch from the stand, but I will be there and these games are there to be won. I hope we can do this."
