Arsenal skipper expects big things from Mannone
02:00 PM 02 October, 2009
Cesc Fabregas has backed Vito Mannone to make the grade at Arsenal.

With Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski currently sidelined, the young Italian has kept goal for the Gunners in their last two Premier League fixtures.

Clean sheets were kept against both Wigan Athletic and Fulham, the latter of which saw Mannone pick up the Man of the Match award for a great performance.

"Vito was named Man of the Match against Fulham and it was well deserved - he was outstanding and we were all very happy for him," said Fabregas.

"In your career you always need one great game to start things off well - he had that game on Saturday and now everyone knows who Vito Mannone is."
