Arsenal’s Gael Clichy has sent a warning to French compatriot Patrice Evra.

The Manchester United star is currently occupying the left-back role for the national side, but Clichy is ready to take his position ahead of the World Cup Finals.

"The coach is asking me to push Evra to make him play better,” said Clichy.

“That is what I am doing, but to be honest with you I want his position. It is difficult - he plays in a very good team and has started the season well so I have to bide my time."
