Insua earns praise from Liverpool manager
07:00 PM 10 October, 2009
Rafael Benitez is full of praise for Liverpool Football Club fullback Emiliano Insua.

The youngster joined the Reds on an eighteen-month loan deal from Boca Juniors in January 2007, yet he impressed Benitez so much the deal was made permanent after just eight months.

Insua has established himself in the starting eleven for his club this season, and his performances have also seen him called up to Diego Maradona’s Argentina squad.

"It is very good news for him and for us," said Benitez. "He is a young player who is doing well for us. When you talk about young players, the idea is to try to promote them.

"Emiliano was a very good signing by our scouting department - a young player with potential and quality - and it was very good business because the price was good."
