Salomon Kalou claims to have signed a new deal with Chelsea Football Club.

The Ivory Coast international was due to be out of contract at the end of the current season, but he claims to have penned a new deal to remain at Stamford Bridge.

"Signing this deal with Chelsea has freed my mind to concentrate on football," Kalou told the People, in a report which suggests his new deal will take him up to 2014.

It is vitally important for Carlo Ancelotti to tie his key players to long-term deals, following a transfer embargo which forbids them from signing new players until January 2011.
