Owen Hargreaves has vowed to return an even better player for Manchester United.

Despite winning a third successive Premier League title last season, there is no doubt the Reds have missed Hargreaves during the past thirteen months.

The England international has undergone surgery on both his knees since he last played for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side, but he has vowed to return better than ever.

“The best is yet to come and I just cannot wait to get back out there," he told MUTV. "I will be trying to improve my game and achieve the great success I think we (United) are destined for.

"To look back at where I was to where I am now is amazing. I just want to be part of it again and have a great season. I cannot wait to pay back some of the faith the fans have shown me."
