Arsenal not ready to lost Merida
02:30 PM 14 October, 2009
Arsene Wenger wants to keep Fran Merida at Arsenal Football Club.

The Spanish youngster is yet to break into the Gunners first team basis on a regular basis, and his contract at the Emirates Stadium is running down.

Atletico Madrid are said to be willing to offer the 19-year-old a route back to his homeland, but Wenger is said to be reluctant to let the player leave.

The French coach is said to rate Merida as a sure-fire star of the future, and reports suggest a new improved offer will be tabled in the near future.
