Simon Davies has advised his Fulham pals to forget about last season’s achievements.
The Cottagers exceeded all expectations last season by finishing in seventh place in the Premier League, but this term they have struggled and currently lie fifteenth.
Davies, who is sidelined with a troublesome foot injury, has warned his team-mates to forget all about what they did last season, and focus on this campaign instead.
"The Premier League is the toughest league in the world and just because we finished seventh last season doesn't mean we'll be flying high this year,” he told the official club site.
"We put a lot of hard work in to finish in that position last year and we've got to do that again this year. Last year we were fortunate that we didn't have that many injuries and had a balanced team.
"The manager's bought very wisely and everyone's fitted in well. I think we've been unlucky in the league. We've deserved a few more points than we currently have but we have to manage that."
