Michael Tonge has been linked with a return to Sheffield United Football Club.

The 26-year-old midfielder only left the Blades in September of last year, when he signed for Premier League side Stoke City in a £2million transfer.

However, Tonge has been unable to cement a place in Tony Pulis’s first team plans, and he has yet to make an appearance for the Britannia Stadium side this term.

The Daily Mail claim United will look to take the former Manchester United youngster on loan for the rest of the season, with the view to a permanent deal.
