Steve Sidwell has backed Chelsea Football Club to win the Premier League.

Sidwell will feature against his former club when they travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, and the midfielder has backed the Stamford Bridge club to wrestle the title from Old Trafford this term.

“Chelsea have been on fire this season,” Sidwell told AVTV. “The Wigan Athletic defeat was a blip for them. I'm tipping them to win the title. It's going to be hard.

“There are a lot of great teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, but I just fancy them to lift that trophy at the end of the season.”
