Jerome in contention to face Arsenal
Cameron Jerome could return to the Birmingham City side at the weekend.
The striker has been out of action for the best part of two months with an ankle injury, but he is in contention to return when the Blues take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
“There's good news on Cameron. He's at a good level," Alex McLeish told the official club site. "We decided to just give him a good week of training and working on his sharpness.
“He's looking strong and powerful. He'll be in consideration for the weekend - and he needs to be because Christian Benitez has been away playing two games.
"He and (Giovanny) Espinoza fly back to London and they will go right to the hotel on Friday afternoon. But I don't think he'll be in a fit state to start so we we’ll consider him for the bench."
