Nosworthy offered Sunderland lifeline
08:30 AM 22 October, 2009
Nyron Nosworthy has been offered a new deal at Sunderland Football Club.

The defender is out of contract at the end of the season, and although he has only played twice this term, the 29-year-old has been offered a new two-year deal.

“Nyron's been offered a new contract and I hope he will sign it within the next few days," manager Steve Bruce confirmed to the Sunderland Echo.

"I'll be delighted if he signs, because I think he has still got a role to play for us. He's well thought of here, a popular lad and we like him. He's a good player.”
