Aquilani happy with Liverpool outing
Alberto Aquilani was happy with his reserve team run out for Liverpool Football Club.
The Italian international joined the Reds from Roma in a £20million summer deal, but ankle surgery means he is yet to get close to Rafael Benitez’s first team plans.
However, Aquilani is closing on full fitness, and he made his first appearance for his new club when he appeared for fifteen minutes for the second string on Wednesday.
"It was a good day because I have not played for six or seven months,” he told Sky Sports. "I have to do more good work. I am happy with 15 minutes and it is important for my confidence."
