Andy Cole can’t see Liverpool Football Club mounting a serious title bid this season.

The Anfield club have already lost four games this term, and as Cole looks ahead to his former club Manchester United travelling to Merseyside on Sunday, he can see them losing more.

"Strange things happen in our game – that's the beauty of it – but with four league defeats already this season, I don't see Liverpool winning the title,” he said in The Independent.

“And as the recent absences of (striker) Fernando Torres and/or (midfielder) Steven Gerrard have shown, they look half the team without them. “
