Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has issued a hands off warning about his young stars.
McCarthy told the Express & Star, "Players have come to Wolves to get to the Premier League – not as a stepping stone because the club is geared up for it in terms of training ground, stadium and fans, so we need to get there."
"If we don’t there will be a lot of unhappy people. The transfer window could be open all year because our best players aren’t going anywhere.
"If you spoke to Steve (Morgan) or Jez (Moxey), they would tell you exactly the same. Why would we want to sell them? We know how it works: you find out someone is in for them and it upsets the applecart."
"We are in a really good position in that we don’t have to sell. We want to strengthen the squad rather than weaken it."
