Manchester City fluff their lines at Eastlands
Manchester City Football Club blew a big opportunity on Sunday afternoon.
When Martin Petrov added to Joleon Lescott’s goal to double the Blues lead on the hour it looked as though the points were in the bag, but eight minutes later Fulham had drew level 2-2.
“It's disappointing we had an opportunity today because a number of results went our way yesterday and we could have capitalised on that,” City boss Mark Hughes told Sky Sports.
“Unfortunately we were unable to. We allowed them back into the game almost immediately after the second goal so we're disappointed obviously, because we should see the game out.”
With United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all dropping points over the weekend, a win for City would have put them in third place in the Premier League.
