Dawson: Hull City boss is fantastic
09:35 AM 26 October, 2009
Andy Dawson has leapt to the defence of his Hull City Football Club manager.

The home fans at the KC Stadium voiced their frustration towards Phil Brown following a goalless draw against Portsmouth, which keeps the Tigers in the bottom three.

After a disastrous end to last season there is a real fear of relegation this term, but Dawson has urged the fans to get behind the manager and his players.

"Phil Brown is a fantastic manager. It is doing nobody any good getting on his back,” said the defender. "What the manager has done for this club is just fantastic.

“I know how passionate these fans are and they get behind us 100 per cent of the time. Just like us, they get frustrated. But to go in the right direction we will have to all pull together.

"I heard a few boos at half-time as I came off and at the end you can feel their frustration at times. But everybody is giving 110 per cent.

"We are not playing the flowing football the fans want to see but everybody is trying and we need everybody behind us to get us out of the situation we are in."
