Evra baffled by Liverpool defeat
10:45 AM 26 October, 2009
Patrice Evra can’t understand how Manchester United performed to poorly at Anfield.

The Reds suffered a second defeat of the season and in doing to reignited Liverpool’s title hopes, and Evra admits it will take a few days to come to terms with the loss.

“The advice was to play our football, but we didn't do that and I don't know why," he told MUTV. "Liverpool were aggressive, but we didn't play and that's why it's so frustrating to lose.

"Normally when United play we create at least five or six clear chances, but we only had the one when Antonio Valencia hit the crossbar. It's not enough if you want to win against Liverpool.

"(Losing to Liverpool) is the most pain you can have when you play for United. There was a big silence in the dressing room afterwards and we will need a few days to recover from this.”

I still think its a race for second. Chelsea are head and shoulders above anything in that League. United and Rio Ferdinand are GLARINGLY short of a REAL match winner. An injury to Rooney and their fecked! It'll be 1.Chelsea. 2.Man U. 3.Man City 4.Arsenal 5.Spurs 6.Liverpool 7.Villa 8.Sunderland. Based on what we've seen so far... Only being honest....

As I Utd fan I'm getting used to our lacklustre performances. Why Did'nt Owen start Rooney was not at the races avin been injured and the birth of his child seemed a distraction. Berbatov never fancies the physical side that these games have. When Owen came he offered more urgency and a threat. Why we don't start with him to get the goals instead of chasing games late on beats me. SAF needs the palyers to be more assertive.
