Burnley face competition for Caldwell
10:00 AM 27 October, 2009
Burnley Football Club face stiff competition for Gary Caldwell.

Owen Coyle wants to take the Celtic defender and team him up with his brother Steven at Turf Moor, as he looks to add more quality to his squad.

However, it is being widely reported that former Bhoys manager Gordon Strachan, appointed as Middlesbrough boss on Monday, is also interested.

Caldwell is said to have rejected a new contract to extend his stay in Scotland, and he could be tempted to try his luck in England when the window reopens.
