Mamady Sidibe is set to make his return to Stoke City’s first team on Tuesday night.
The Mali international has been out of action since suffering cruciate ligament damage in March, but he will feature against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup tie at Fratton Park.
“Mama worked tremendously hard on his rehabilitation and has been back in full training since the start of the month," said manager Tony Pulis.
"He's done everything the other lads have done on the training pitch and has come through with no ill-effects. He's a big, strong and very determined lad.
“I wouldn't be surprised if he got through 90 minutes for us. It's great to have him back with the group. He's played a big part in the success we've had and I'm sure he has another big part to play."
