Manchester United rule out Foster loan exit
03:15 PM 01 November, 2009
Manchester United will not loan out Ben Foster during the winter transfer window.

The 25-year-old started the season as the Reds number one, but he failed to convince and has recently lost his place to the fit-again Edwin van der Sar.

It has been suggested that United may allow Foster to leave on loan to protect his place in the England World Cup squad, but Sir Alex Ferguson has rejected such a possibility.

"The future belongs to Ben of course,” he told the News of the World. “Tomasz Kuszczak is a good keeper too so we are quite strong. But Ben will not be allowed out on loan in January. No way."

Foster has, in recent months, been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but at looks as though for this season at the very least, he will remain at Old Trafford.
