Rafael Benitez won’t consider losing Yossi Benayoun from his Liverpool squad.

It has been suggested that the Israel international could be sold in January to raise transfer funds, but Benitez insists the midfielder is a key member of his first team plans.

"Yossi is a key player for us,” said the Spanish coach.

“Before, people had some doubts about him but we knew he has quality. He has game intelligence and he can change a game for us. Yossi can be a key player."
