Davide Santon is unlikely to be leaving Inter Milan on loan in the New Year.

The 18-year-old fullback burst onto the first team scene under Jose Mourinho last season, but this term he has started just three Serie A games for the champions.

This has sparked speculation that Santon could be loaned out in the winter, but his agent, Vincenzo Morabito, has played down such a possibility.

“Santon is obviously an excellent player, he has great qualities and is an asset for Italian football,” he told Controcampo. “A loan move? I don’t think so. I reckon he is better off staying at Inter.”
