ANGEL DI MARIA insists he will not be heading to England in the New Year.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old forward, but the player insists he will at least see the season out in Portugal with Benfica.

"I am only thinking about Benfica,” said Di Maria, who has been at the Stadium of Light since 2007. "I want to do my best for the club this season and then we will see what happens.”

It is thought that Sir Alex Ferguson has had the youngster watched on a number of times this season, whilst Carlo Ancelotti was lining up a bid should his Blues have their transfer embargo lifted.
