WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS striker Chris Iwelumo faces another spell on the sidelines.

The Scotland international has started just once for Wolves this season due to a metatarsal injury, and Mick McCarthy has revealed the striker has suffered a recurrence of this problem.

"He has unsettled it more than anything and he will be a few weeks out,” he said. “Where the actual fracture is and the metal screw goes in, it has been unsettled, disturbed, but not broken.

"It is a big blow after all he has gone through. It is sad for him, the Stoke City game was his first back in the Premier League and the Stoke game suited him, the physical nature of the game."
