Robinho edges closer to Barcelona switch
The proposed transfer of Robinho from Manchester City to Barcelona could edge closer this week.
The Daily Mirror claim representatives from the European Champions will try and thrash out a January agreement for the player on Wednesday, with two options being mooted.
It is believed Barca are prepared to pay £3million for an initial loan deal with a balance of £31million to be paid in the summer, or a £34million payment to take the player permanently in January.
“I’m calm. My father takes care of those matters,” Robinho is quoted as saying on the speculation. When told the deal was close, he told a Spanish newspaper: “If so, that’s good.”
