Gianfranco Zola believes West Ham United paid the price for wasted chances on Sunday.

The struggling Hammers are back in the bottom three following a 2-1 home defeat against Everton, and Zola admits the squandering of chances are giving him reason for concern.

"I think they tried until the end and that is something that I have to give to them,” he told Sky Sports. "We had so many chances in the second half, we didn't take them unfortunately.

“They had two and they scored. I don't know what to think about it - certainly it is something for me to think about and find solutions as soon as possible."
