Gianfranco Zola is confident West Ham United will avoid relegation this season.

A 2-1 home defeat to Everton on Sunday puts the Hammers back in the bottom three of the Premier League, but Zola is remaining confident he and his players will turn things around.

"It feels bad,” the Italian coach said. “It's not very pleasant, but we are there [in the bottom three]. The team is fighting. Can we stay up? Yes. We can do that.

“All of us, including myself, are going to have to look for solutions to these problems. I'm concerned, as is everybody. But we're going to fight until the end and we will find the solutions.

"I'm confident and I trust the players. I believe they are the best in the Premier League for me. We are determined to make things different and that's what matters."
