Ryan Nelsen believes Blackburn Rovers Football Club need to strengthen their rearguard.

Speaking after Arsenal left Ewood Park on the back of a 4-0 victory, the New Zealand international offered the opinion that Paul Ince’s side need to tighten up at the back.

"The performances have been really good but we're giving away horrendously soft goals," Nelsen told the Daily Mirror. "It's about finding the right balance.

"We're trying to play attractive football going forward and every game is becoming a bit open. Cavalier is a good word to describe it. But we've been successful in the past because we've been tight at the back.”
