Manchester City in for £27million Di Maria

The Times claim Manchester City Football Club are in for Angel Di Maria.

The Benfica forward is rated as one of the most exciting talents in European football, and he has been linked with a host of clubs since the start of the season.

Chelsea and Manchester United want to take the 21-year-old Argentine to England, whilst there is interest from Spain and Italy in the shape of Barcelona and AC Milan respectively.

However, The Times claim money-bags City have already opened talks with the Portuguese club over a potential £27million deal for Di Maria, who is under contact until 2015.

This guy might be an awesome prospect, but he wants to play for United, and not only that, he claims he isn't told anything at benfica about clubs putting bids in for him. Just sounds like he has no idea where he is going next. I think this guy would be a great addition, then we can offload the moaning robinho. But if this Maria guy wants to be a red, then it's hardly ideal is it!!! We city fans just don't get it easy do we!!
