Brown assured of Hull City future
09:00 AM 11 November, 2009
Phil Brown has been assured of his future at Hull City Football Club.

The Tigers manager has come in for some sharp criticism this season after a poor start, coupled with the way they ended last term having stayed up by the skin of their teeth on the final day.

However, chairman Adam Pearson insists there is no internal pressure on Brown, and the KC Stadium chief is sure the club have the right man in charge.

"Phil is definitely the man in charge; there are no plans to sack him and nobody is lined up [to replace Brown]," said Pearson, who replaced Paul Duffen last week. "We want him to succeed.

“We would all be delighted if he is able to continue for years to come. I still genuinely believe in the skills and ability he showed in managing the club to win promotion to the Premier League.”
