Birmingham City Football Club are keen to take Alan Hutton in the New Year.

Alex McLeish knows the Scotland international well from his time in charge of Rangers and Scotland, and he is keen to be reunited with the player in January.

Hutton has struggled with injury at Tottenham Hotspur and has started just one Premier League game under Harry Redknapp during the opening stages of this season.

The Daily Star claim the Blues are willing to pay £3million for the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Everton and Hull City in recent months.
