Cook seeks return of buzz at disjointed City
04:30 PM 12 November, 2009
Garry Cook wants Manchester City to recapture the buzz of their early season campaign, after admitting the team has become a little disjointed.

A 4-2 win over Arsenal is City’s highlight of the season so far, but they have since drawn five games on the bounce which has dampened spirits slightly.

Although Cook is pleased with the way things have gone overall this term, he admits he would love to see a return of the buzz which followed that win over the Gunners.

"There was a buzz about the place when we played Arsenal," said the Blues chief executive. "Everybody's expectations were high but we got disjointed a little bit.

"Since then we have had a couple of games where we thought we could have probably come away with a better result but that is the way it works.

“If someone had said at the beginning of the season we would be fourth after 10 Premier League games and in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup we would have taken it.”
