Heaton could yet reject Queens Park Rangers extension
03:30 PM 13 November, 2009
Tom Heaton may yet reject the chance to stay at Queens Park Rangers Football Club.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper is due back at Manchester United after this weekend, but Jim Magilton admits he wants to take the player again in the New Year.

"Tom has been outstanding for us from the day he walked into the club," he told the club's official website. "He's a first-class pro and sets the standards by which the others follow.

"We're quite hopeful that we will be able to do something in January and I'll be doing everything within my power to push it through. We'd love to have him back here.”

However, Heaton has made just two Carling Cup appearances for Rangers, and he may look elsewhere so he can gain regular first team football if he attracts other interest before his contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer.
