England call vindicates Crouch decision
04:30 PM 13 November, 2009
Peter Crouch claims his decision to join Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has been vindicated by his inclusion in the England squad to face Brazil this weekend.

Although the former Portsmouth striker has only started five times for Harry Redknapp’s Premier League high-fliers, he feels his move has reignited his chances of making the World Cup Finals.

"My role in the England squad vindicates my decision to join Tottenham,” he said. "My mind was pretty much made up when I got the call from Harry. Tottenham are a team moving forward."

Crouch has an impressive record for his country, having scored 18 times in 35 caps, but most of these have come against lesser nations so this is a huge chance for him to notch against the best.
