Blackburn Rovers consider Heskey swoop
06:00 PM 18 November, 2009
Emile Heskey is a January target for Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

The powerful forward is expected to be named in Fabio Capello’s England squad for the World Cup Finals, but he is down the pecking order at Aston Villa.

Heskey has insisted he is prepared to fight for his place in Martin O’Neill’s side, but he has also hinted that he may revaluate his situation in the New Year.

It is believed Sam Allardyce is plotting a bid to take the 31-year-old back to the North West, where he has previously starred for Liverpool and Wigan Athletic.

if it was a straight swop for grella and diouf, i would do it providing he still has the pace...we need at least 5 strikers and to play 4-3-3 all the time. heskey roberts mccarthy di santo kalinic sounds good!

Heskey gives 110% effort and would be a sensible acquisition for the Rovers.
