Martin O’Neill hopes to have Emile Heskey and James Collins available for the potentially tricky trip to Burnley Football Club at the weekend.

Striker Heskey and defender Collins missed Aston Villa’s 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers with a back and groin injury respectively, but both are in contention to face the Clarets.

“The medical staff are quite happy with the progress they are making," said O'Neill in the Birmingham Mail. "They still have quite a number of days before we are back in action."

Burnley have a fine record at Turf Moor this season, and Villa will look to succeed where the likes of Everton, Sunderland and even Manchester United have failed since August.
