Ashley Williams is a target for Wigan Athletic Football Club.

Since Roberto Martinez left his position as Swansea City manager for the Latics he has returned to his former club to take Jordi Gomez, who he had last season, and Jason Scotland.

And it is believed he will now look to take defender Williams from the Championship side, in a move which wouldn’t surprise Swans manager Paula Sousa.

"I don't have any doubts about clubs watching him," Sousa said in the Wigan Evening Post. "He can play in the Premier League as I recognise other players are not better than him.”
