Arsenal Football Club have received an injury boost concerning Kieran Gibbs.

The Gunners feared the worst when the fullback suffered a foot injury whilst on England Under-21 duty, particularly as Gael Clichy is also sidelined.

However, Gibbs has suffered just bruising to his foot, much to the relief of Arsene Wenger’s club, who have released the following statement:

“The club can confirm that Kieran has sustained severe bruising to the bones and soft tissue of his right foot. Thankfully the foot is not fractured and his enforced absence will be short term."
