Hughes disappointed as Manchester City held at Anfield
10:49 AM 22 November, 2009
Mark Hughes believes Manchester City Football Club should have left Anfield with maximum points.

Despite going a goal behind at Liverpool, Emmanuel Adebayor and Stephen Ireland put the Blues in the driving seat before Yossi Benayoun levelled for the home side.

"We're disappointed because I think we were the better team today," Hughes told Sky Sports 1. "We showed great character to come from a goal down.

"We were in a winning position and that's the frustration for us at the moment, allowing those winning situations to go away from us.

"If we had defended that moment correctly we could have seen the game out because Liverpool weren't causing us too many problems."

City have now drawn their last SIX Premier League matches which, had they won all of them, would have seen them level at the top of the table with Chelsea.

What's the use of saying disappointedly repeatedly? Your defenders are all playing like schoolboys since Dunne left! You are responsible for causing this shambles. Perhaps you should RESIGN!
