Lee Bowyer is proving his doubters wrong at Birmingham City Football Club.

A lot of question marks were raised when Alex McLeish brought the often-controversial midfielder to St Andrews, but the player has put in some fine performances for the Blues.

And no more so impressive than on Saturday afternoon, when Bowyer scored the only goal of the game to defeat Fulham whilst producing a Man of the Match performance.

“When Lee first came here, I got some people raising their eyebrows saying his legs had gone and he was not the same player," said McLeish. "But he has proved a lot of people wrong.

“He can run all day, has class about him, and is a real leader."
