Owen happy with Manchester United role
12:30 PM 22 November, 2009
Michael Owen is happy with his role at Manchester United Football Club.

The former Liverpool idol was a shock signing for Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer, when he was available on a free transfer following the expiry of his Newcastle United deal.

Owen has made ten Premier League appearances this season, and although only three of these have been starts, he is happy with his current role at Old Trafford.

"I have played in a team that was struggling and I much prefer life at a winning club, even if that means I don't play every minute of every game," he told United Review.

"I am here at a club that is full of quality, training with top players every day and working under a top manager. I have had my fair share of minutes this season, so I am not about to complain."
