McDonald enjoys his big Blackburn Rovers day
Neil McDonald was happy to see Blackburn Rovers secure a win on Sunday.
McDonald took charge of Rovers at Bolton Wanderers due to Sam Allardyce about to undergo heart surgery, and he was delighted to leave the Reebok Stadium on the back of a 2-0 win.
“We're happy with the performance and kept a clean sheet, which is an added bonus," he told Sky Sports. "I think we've contained them, created more chances in the first half and the second half.
"We just needed to pass the ball a little quicker in the second half and I thought we got through them quite easily and were well worth the 2-0 victory.
"We were looking dodgy at 1-0 but once we got the second I thought we looked quite comfortable and it is great to put that away form right."
